“That, too.” Instead of climbing into bed, Mitch bent Pat over the mattress. He loved when Pat rode him, but with his bum arm, Mitch wanted to feel in control. He needed to feel in control. At least tonight, because he had a feeling Pat would be a handful to deal with.
The fox might look all innocent, but as Mitch had already said, the guy had the devil in him. Mitch looked forward to finding out just how bossy his little redhead would be. They had gotten to know each other under stressful situations. Now it was time to see the real Pat, the guy who had stolen Mitch’s heart.
“Lube.”
Pat reached under the pillow and handed the tube over.
Mitch lathered his cock and tossed the tube aside. Pat looked over his shoulder. “No stretching?”
“Do you think you can handle it?”
A hard glint entered Pat’s green eyes as he nodded. Mitch knew his mate could handle it rough. He had proven what a great little warrior he already was, and sometimes a man just wanted to cut loose, to fuck like there was no tomorrow.
Pat’s ass was tight, but Mitch managed to work his cock inside his body. He laid his right hand against Pat’s slim back and thrust forward, smiling when his mate cried out. The sound was music to his ears.
Mitch punched his hips, fucking Pat with every ounce of energy he possessed, and Pat took it, encouraging Mitch not to stop.
Like he would. There was no way Mitch was stopping until they both had what they needed.
He pressed his chest into Pat’s back and bit into his shoulder, eliciting a scream from his mate as Pat’s hole tightened around Mitch’s dick.
They found their release at the same time. Mitch’s climax shook him hard as he pulled his canines from Pat’s shoulder and licked the wound.
He rested his forehead against Pat’s sweaty back, sucking in air before he placed a small kiss against his mate’s skin. “I love you.”
“Love you, too.” Pat eased away from Mitch, making Mitch’s cock slip free.
He smacked Pat’s ass, loving how his handprint showed on Pat’s pale backside.
Until Pat glared at him. “Smack me again and I’ll kick you in the balls.”
Mitch laughed, and goddamn that felt good. He wasn’t sure what the future held for them, how their lives would play out, and knew things wouldn’t go smoothly, not when Mitch was hired to hunt down thugs who didn’t deserve to breathe, but that was fine with him. Mitch looked forward to the challenges.

Somewhere in the Smoky Mountains, Panahasi emerged from the vortex, Demonian and Syphon behind him. They were in a small home that belonged to Panahasi, one of many he had scattered around the world—all warded against detection.
He had been tracking the two the entire time they’d escaped, had overheard their conversations, and had decided to give them a chance.
He wasn’t a heartless man.
“One toe out of line and you two will spend eternity in the underworld,” he warned them. “Think I’m fucking around and—”
Panahasi grunted when Syphon hugged him so tightly that he could barely breathe. “I promise we won’t fuck this up. Thank you so much.”
Demonian glared at him. “But Mitch and—”
“Let it go,” Panahasi and Syphon said in unison.
“I’m giving you two a chance to start over,” Panahasi said. “You better take it because the alternative isn’t pretty.”
With a deep sigh, Demonian nodded. “Fine. I’ll let it go.”
Syphon squeaked as he released Panahasi and threw his arms around his mate.
“Tell me,” Panahasi said. “Who was the woman you killed?”
Demonian’s features darkened. “Syphon’s mother. She had abused Syphon and then sold him when he was a pup. All because he was different.”
Family could make a person insane. Panahasi should know. He was related to Jaden. “Enjoy your new lives.”
He backed out of the room as Demonian and Syphon started talking, making plans for their future. Maybe Panahasi was a sucker for a happy ending, but he truly believed the two deserved a shot at a long and happy life together.
He wasn’t an idiot, though. Panahasi would monitor Demonian and Syphon to make sure they kept their word and stayed out of trouble, but he doubted they would ruin their little slice of heaven.
